Pier 17 Marina & Yacht Club is a rare find in Florida. The 26 mega-yacht slips are owned in fee simple by Pier 17, enabling the developers to convey a deeded condominium interest. Slips which are on sovereign submerged lands will be retained for public access and transient dockage.

At Pier 17 Marina and Yacht Club, the advantages go beyond accessibility or superior amenities. Every aspect has been designed with only one thing in mind-meeting the needs of owners, captains and crew.

Planned from the onset as a state-of-the-art, deep-water mega yacht facility, Pier 17 will accommodate vessels up to 155 ft. Each slip will provide metal-covered slips with 55 ft. clear heights and 2-car garages with substantial upper-level storage and additional parking. Pier 17 will be unlike any other facility of its kind, extending five-star support to the luxury marine lifestyle.
According to the Marine Industry Association of South Florida (MIASF), Broward County’s marine industry generates an $8.8 billion dollar economic impact and employs 109,000 people. Over 1400 mega yachts visit the area annually with an average economic impact of almost $400,000 per visit. Frank Herhold, Executive Director of MIASF stated "The newly revitalized Pier 17 Marina and Yacht Club, emphasizing mega yacht berthing and amenities, will undoubtedly be a significant contributor to these already impressive numbers." Thomas Murray of Thomas J. Murray Associates and Professor at Virginia Institute of Marine Science states that “there has been an 82% increase in the annual new construction rate of mega yachts over 80 feet in length since 1998 with 507 in production since the beginning of 2004.” He added that “the average length of newly constructed vessels at the beginning of 2004 was estimated to be 133 feet, compared to 116 feet in 1997.”

As the mega yacht dockage in the tri-county yachting communities of Fort Lauderdale, Miami and Palm Beach nears capacity, Pier 17 Marina answers an urgent demand and provides a unique investment in the area’s appreciating marina real estate market.
